Hello Folks, I have put this message board here to allow all of you loyal visitors a place to talk

and such but otherwise you can say what you want and it will displayed immediately.

I'm looking for an old photo of Uncle Bob's Diner that was once in Flint. My father in law used to be the/a baker there till the early 70s. I have never seen it myself - or don't recall even though I grew up in Flint, but it was a big part of my husband's life. I have gotten copies of the ones in the Flint Journal in years past and also seen ones online of the way it looks now that it has been moved to it's new location. It seems that there must be something in someones old pics of this old Flint icon.

My buddy and I were in the parking lot at Wrigley's the night Hoffa was abducted. Maple and Telegraph, and actually the restaurant has a Birmingham zip code since the dividing line is Maple Road (15 Mile)

6   General Board / Chesterfield Arena or Roma Hall  on: Oct 28th, 2009, 11:41pm

I am searching for photos of the old Chesterfield Arena, which later became Roma Hall. That burned down twice, now there is an Olive Garden there. This is near 10 Mile and Gratiot in Eastpointe, it was East Detroit at the time.

Earlier, the Purple Gang ran it as an illegal gambling establishment and it was called Chesterfield Inn.

I am looking for any photos of either place, there are none in historic archives, libraries or newspapers on the internet. Thanks!

I am a little late to this party, but there was a Little Skipper's on Fort Street in Wyandotte. CB'ers used to meet there.

I actually did live in the park in the mid 1970's after the park was closed down. The only things still standing were the casino which was turned into a flee market, the shell from one the carosels, and the house off of 13 mile Rd. which is where myself and 4 other hippies lived. We were sort of an attraction to the locals because at that time there weren't that many long hairs in the area. We were treated very well by our neighbors and had many visitors bringing us home made food and canned pickles, peppers, etc. I remember playing my guitar under the carosel the how great the acoustics were. Great memories from a long time ago.

The best of times and as close to utopia as you can get for a family resort. I was a 70's child of Sunny Brook Farm. Me {Dave}, sister Carol and mom and dad Norm and Loretta. I just remember how excited we were too go and how sad it was to leave at the end of the week. Sunny Brook will shine always in my heart. Hope to visit this sight in future and hopefully connect with some old friends. Dave Wandolowski. P.S Did Fiedalmans ever burn Joking
